SW24 Becomes Genetec Dealer

Oct 17, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- SW24, a security services company located in New York City, announced it has become a Genetec dealer.

Genetec is a provider of Internet Protocol (IP) security solutions. The agreement also allows SW24 to provide remote third-party monitoring for Genetec customers requesting this service.

"Genetec is, quite simply, the leader in specialized security software, especially video management of camera arrays large and small," said Desmond Smyth, SW24 president. "Genetec is a perfect complement to our current video management products and services." Smyth said the agreement will make SW24 Genetec's provider of video monitoring services in the New York City area for the next three years should Genetec customers not want to do their own video monitoring with their own personnel. He said that the new relationship will give Genetec customers a managed services platform for video and access control. These services include a range of enhancements, including remote health checks of the customer systems and a variety of management reporting.


SW24 also said that substantial progress was being made on its building of a 25,000 square foot monitoring facility called the Fusion Centre in Moonachie, New Jersey scheduled to be operational in 2012.
