Henry Schein Inc. Selects Itamar-Medical's WatchPAT™ as Integral Part of Their New Dental Sleep Program

CAESAREA, Israel --(Business Wire)--

Henry Schein Inc., the largest provider of health care products and services to office-based practitioners, today announced the launch of its Sleep Complete™ program, a new integrated comprehensive solution that provides all of the information and products necessary for the successful implementation of dental sleep medicine into the dental practice. A key component of this package will be Itamar-Medical's WatchPAT home test device for the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea. The Sleep Complete package will be offered to dentists through a bundled financing package which should significantly lower the financial barrier to entry that often faces dentists interested in incorporating sleep medicine into their practice.

Itamar-Medical was one of the first pioneers to introduce portable sleep diagnostic testing into the area of dental sleep medicine and now continues to the next level with the deployment of Henry Schein's Sleep Complete program along with Modern Dental Labs (makers of The Moses oral appliance) and Nierman Practice Management (providers of a simplified billing and reimbursement software program).

About WatchPAT
WatchPAT, the most convenient portable sleep testing device on the market, is easily installed by the patient in the comfort of their own home with over 350,000 tests worldwide. It is the only portable device providing Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI), and Oxygen Desaturation Index (ODI) based on actual sleep time and sleep states (REM/Wake/Deep/Light) without a cumbersome nasal cannula or belt around the chest. This gives the patient greater comfort, more natural sleep, as well as an amazingly low failure rate. Dentists may work in concert with their local sleep physicians or call upon one of several nationwide sleep-medicine networks for completion of patient diagnosis. Sleep physicians use Itamar's intuitive software to review the data channels and manually override the automatic suggested scoring (the actual sleep data cannot be changed). WatchPAT's newest features include multi-night testing, tamper-proof occupational testing, and seamless web-based study-upload to Electronic Medical Records.
