associated with this press release.
Big fuel and emissions savings at Ambassatours Gray Line will be in
the spotlight at United Motor Coach Association EXPO in Long Beach,
California, February 8 - 12, 2012.
"Ambassatours Gray Line has saved $60,000 and CO2 equal to the weight
of about six motor coaches in two years by going 'IDLE-FREE for our
kids'," says Ron Zima, 'The IDLE-FREE Guy', founder of The Children's
Clean Air Network.
Motor Coach Industries and Allison Transmission, two major suppliers
in the industry, are co-sponsoring 'The IDLE-FREE Guy' to share the
Ambassatours Gray Line success story at the UMA EXPO.
"Clean air and fuel conservation go hand-in-hand with our business
philosophy. And of course, our kids are the future," says Pat Ziska,
Vice President - Sales & Marketing at Motor Coach Industries. "Our
campaign 'Go Green, Go Coach, Go MCI' highlights the many
environmental benefits of motor coach travel, so, going 'IDLE-FREE
for our kids' is something we can easily embrace. It resonates with
people."
"What's under the hood with our campaign is simple. It's the
emotional pull of kids on drivers," says Zima, a hockey dad and
father of two. "It's transformational. Once we understand how much we
can all save by 'going green, going IDLE-FREE for our kids' - drivers
come on board pretty quickly."
"Our drivers and staff have kids. Once they understood that this was
important to their own kids, they quickly started to buy-in," says
Ambassatours Gray Line president Dennis Campbell. The company is the
largest motor coach charter company in Atlantic Canada.
Motor coach operators from across North America attend the UMA EXPO
to network with experts, share best practices and solutions for
streamlining their enterprises.
It's being held this year at The Long Beach Convention Center, in
Long Beach, California.

About 'The IDLE-FREE Guy' and The Children's Clean Air Network
The Children's Clean Air Network is a network of like-minded partners
promoting 'go green, go IDLE-IDLE Free for our kids'. The vision is
to inspire North America to 'turn off its tailpipe - when it's
parked.' The goal is to reduce vehicle emissions, ultimately saving
billions of dollars in fuel and cutting millions of tons of
greenhouse gas.
The Children's Clean Air Network began as a grassroots campaign in
2006 at Kingswood Elementary School, near Halifax, Nova Scotia,
Canada.
Its founder is father of two and hockey dad, Ron Zima, also known as
'The IDLE-FREE Guy'. "Our kids are depending on us to take care of
their planet. Hockey rinks, schools and public places are prime
locations where kids depend on clean air and where together, we can
have a huge impact by going IDLE-FREE for our kids."
Partner organizations include schools, businesses, media outlets, and
health and environment organizations.
'Always-on' vehicle emissions impact the health and future of
children and represent a significant loss of fuel and resources. The
Children's Clean Air Network seeks to inspire the public and empower
children to lead change.
