ViaSat files lawsuit against Space Systems/Loral and Loral for patent infringement and breach of contract

ViaSat Inc (Nasdaq:VSAT), a provider of satellite and other wireless networking systems and services, announced on Tuesday that it has served a complaint for patent infringement and breach of contract against Space Systems/Loral and Loral Space & Communications.
This patent infringement and breach of contract relates to the unauthorised use of ViaSat's intellectual property, including technology ViaSat developed for its 100+ Gb/s ViaSat-1 satellite.
The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of California. ViaSat said that it is seeking monetary damages and a permanent injunction to prevent SS/L and L from continuing to use ViaSat technology.
