FTI Consulting Launches 2012 ERISA Litigation and Compliance Breakfast Series
Apr 13, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
FTI Consulting, Inc., a global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance their enterprise value, announced the launch of the 2012 ERISA Litigation and Compliance Breakfast Series.
According to a release, aimed at professionals who work for or with corporate benefit plans, these breakfast meetings examine the impact of new rules and regulations, lessons learned from the courts, and ways to mitigate personal and professional liability at a time when fiduciary litigation is soaring.
The breakfast seminars will be held in New York, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and San Francisco and offer a chance to hear and participate in a moderated panel discussion session about topics such as pension and 401(k) plan governance, service provider due diligence, fee economics, withdrawal liability, successor liability, bankruptcy restructuring and much more. Stay abreast of breaking news, network with colleagues and earn CLE, if applicable.
"Companies around the world are fast realizing that poor employee benefit plan risk management and governance impacts participants, creditors, suppliers and shareholders in numerous ways," said Basil Imburgia, Senior Managing Director of the Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice of FTI Consulting. "This is no time to look the other way. Bad decisions about how trillions of retirement plan dollars are deployed can roil the bottom line, destroy enterprise value and make things tough for millions of people. Our goal in rolling out the FTI Consulting 2012 ERISA Litigation and Compliance Breakfast Series is to empower executives to make good decisions by being able to ask questions of experts at a time of great uncertainty."
