BRIEF: North Myrtle Beach police search for robbery suspect

North Myrtle Beach police are investigating an armed robbery where a man took cash from a convenience store late Monday, according to authorities.
Officers were called at 8:15 p.m. Monday to the Circle K at 1701 Secondary Highway 175 where a man had robbed the store, according to a police report.
Employees told police the man came into the store, went to the cooler and took a 22-ounce bottle of beer, walked to the counter and pointed a small handgun at the clerk and demanded money, according to the report. The employee gave the suspect the cash from the register and the suspect then ran out of the store into the parking lot and away from the area.
Police searched the area, but did not locate the suspect. Officers released video surveillance photos of the suspect.
