Protect America Inc. Announces Sponsorship of Crime Stoppers Chicago

Chicago, Illinois, Nov 08, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Protect America, one of the nation's ten largest home security companies, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Crime Stoppers Chicago.

Founded in 1975 by an Albuquerque police detective, Crime Stoppers helps local law enforcement agencies organize and manage their own anonymous tip lines. Today, Crime Stoppers has grown into one of the world's most effective crime prevention organizations with a presence in nearly every major American city and over 11 countries. Over the past 37 years, Crime Stoppers has helped solve over one million crimes and has led to the recovery of nearly $5 billion in stolen property.


"On behalf of the board of directors for Cook County Crime Stoppers, I would like to thank Protect America for their support," said George McDade, a spokesman for Crime Stoppers Chicago. "Not only for Cook Country Crime Stoppers but also helping other Crime Stoppers organizations." As part of the partnership, Protect America sponsor Crime Stoppers new, nationally syndicated TV program, Crime Stoppers Case Files. The show will premiere on November 11th in Miami, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Each episode will cater to a specific market by highlighting crimes that are committed in each area. Protect America will also provide local Crime Stoppers tip lines with financial support through donations and an affiliate program.

"As a home security company, we're dedicated to helping people protect their homes," said Arlin Owsley, a vice president at Protect America. "Crime Stoppers has been an incredibly useful tool for law enforcement and leads to safer communities. This isn't about helping just our customers, it's about helping everyone. When people feel safe in their homes, we've done our job." On November 1st, representatives from Protect America finalized the partnership during a meeting in Cleveland with Crime Stoppers representatives as well as the chiefs of police for Cleveland and Miami. The meeting will involve the filming of promos for Crime Stoppers Case Files and should help promote the new TV show in local markets.
