March Networks introduces new GURU smartphone application

Nov 28, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- March NetworksCorporation, a provider of internet protocol video solutions, has introduced its new GURU smartphone application, a support tool with diagnostic information, video tutorials, warranty status and other utilities.


March Networks GURU helps channel partners reduce service costs by providing them with a fast way to resolve video surveillance system issues in the field. The application is a new complement to March Networks' technical services, and is available as a free download from the App Store, the company said.

With GURU, technicians have access to an interactive knowledge database for March Networks IP cameras and 4000 C Series hybrid video recorders via their mobile device. The application allows them to browse through and access multiple video tutorials to find exactly the information they need to troubleshoot and resolve a specific product issue, check product warranty and Return Material Authorization (RMA) shipment status on the spot to better determine next steps and duplicate the LEDs displaying on its March Networks recorder to get instant diagnostic information.
