BRIEF: Suspects sought in Swansea burglary
Jan 10, 2013 (Belleville News-Democrat - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Swansea police are looking for four suspects who burglarized the Huck's convenience store in broad daylight.
According to Police Chief Mike Arnold, at just after 9 a.m. Monday two black men and two black women all wearing black clothes came into the store at 4590 N. Illinois St. Two of the suspects distracted the manager on duty at the automatic teller machine while the other two broke into the office at the rear of the store.
Arnold said the suspects stole a large sum of money, the receipts from weekend sales, although he would not specify how much cash they took.
Video surveillance of the suspects is of poor quality and was not released by police.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Swansea Police Department 233-8114.
