Sentry View Systems Keeps Kids Safe
MELBOURNE, Fla. --(Business Wire)--
Sentry
View Systems, Inc. is donating an advanced surveillance system to Merritt
Island Christian School (MICS) in Merritt Island, Florida. This
system is similar to those it has provided for Dept. of Defense
high-value asset monitoring. "God has truly blessed MICS through the
donation provided by Sentry View Systems," says Dr. Nanci Dettra, MICS
Superintendent. "We never could have dreamed that we would be installing
such amazing surveillance equipment at our school for the safety of our
number one resource, our students."
This turnkey solution will enable school staff to keep a safe eye on the
children in key areas across the campus. Unlike most security video
management systems, SentryEDGE
IDM™ provides distributed recording - placing archives at the edge
instead of in a single, central server - to eliminate any single point
of failure for the system. Adding SentryVCA™
will provide intelligence to the IP camera network that enhances the
effectiveness of campus security personnel. Monitoring of the video will
be performed from a number of workstations using SightCommander™
- Sentry View Systems' physical security information management
software. This integrated system will allow security personnel to
identify potential threats to the children and campus in real time.
"We are pleased, and excited, to be able to provide this security
capability enhancement for MICS," reports Dr.
Justin Thompson, President of Sentry View Systems, "and this
installation will also serve as a test center and pilot installation for
our efforts to adjust and optimize our designs to fit small campus
applications, like schools and office buildings."
