RedSky E911 Manager® Earns JITC Certification for DoD Use with Cisco Unified Communications Manager

CHICAGO, Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- RedSky Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of automated E911 solutions to the enterprise, announced today the company's flagship product, E911 Manager®, has successfully achieved Interoperability Certification (IOC) from the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).

The JITC certification has resulted in E911 Manager® Version 6.3.1 being placed on the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) for use as an E911 Management System (EMS) with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

"Our U.S. government and military customers have specific and often unique E911 needs in terms of requirements, certifications and purchasing," says Anthony Maier, RedSky's chief executive officer. "We believe this certification validates our extensive experience protecting high-profile facilities and meeting the force protection requirements of the Department of Defense." E911 Manager® integrates with major call servers and PBXs to track the detailed location of all types of phones on the enterprise network including analog, digital, SIP, H.323, WiFi and softphones. The application then automatically updates the location information used by call takers in public safety answering points (PSAPs) throughout the country to dispatch emergency response.
