BRIEF: Fairview Heights leaders to consider road work, video surveillance contracts

The Fairview Heights City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday evening to vote on a resolution to award an $80,900 contract to an engineering company for bridge, road and creek channel work in the city and another contract to install surveillance cameras at city parks.
The Fairview Heights company, Hoelscher Engineering, Inc., has been selected for the contract to conduct professional engineering services for a new bridge at Richmond Drive as well as road improvements from Lexington Drive to Fairfield Drive, and improvements on Ogles Creek from Hampton Drive past Richmond Drive.
The second resolution, if passed, would give the city permission to pay Wisper ISP $98,630 to install surveillance cameras and provide wireless and video technical support for the cameras.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.
