CCI (News - Alert) Intellisys, a provider of business phone and communication solutions in Utah, announced that Horizon Credit Union, a provider of personalized financial services in Utah for more than 50 years, has implemented Zultys (News - Alert) MX250 communication system and realized significant cost savings while improving internal communications.
The MX250 IP PBX is a feature-rich enterprise-class business IP telephony system from Zultys that supports high quality VoIP and Unified Communications (News - Alert) services for up to 250 users on a single appliance and can be seamlessly expanded through an MXgroup network to support up to 10,000 users and 128 offices across an enterprise-wide Unified Communications system.
Horizon Credit Union provides affordable financial services, offering a full line of auto, business, mortgage and recreational loans. The company has more than 14,000 members and five branches across Utah. Horizon relies on their communications technologies to fulfill their core mission.
"We determined that there were a few things we needed to focus on. First of all, we needed something that would allow us to communicate effectively with our members. It also had to be reliable and easy for our staff to use," said Randy Gailey, CEO, Horizon Credit Union, in a statement.
Intellisys analyzed the credit union's needs and recommended the Zultys MX250 system. The system provided an immediate up-front cost saving by allowing Horizon to use its existing SIP phones in full HD without having to purchase a costly proprietary phone system. The system also improved communication internally and externally when working with members.
"I find I am getting a lot more communication from my staff through the instant messaging system and it tends to make office life much more efficient," Gailey said. "Zultys gives me the availability to see the availability of our staff in all five of our branches. It has been a huge benefit."
In other industry news, even though the holidays might officially be coming to an end, SIP End Points leader Panasonic (News - Alert) remains committed to spreading the holiday cheer well into next year. According to the company officials, in January, Panasonic will be unveiling its KX-UT670, the company’s first SIP open source operating desk phone.
“The goal for us in launching this phone is twofold: it’s about creating a new device that is going to enable a business user to be more productive and have better use of their time, but it’s also vertical focused in trying to enable specific verticals, whether it’s security or education, to have a full integrated Panasonic solution,” Kim Murtagh, product manager of SIP End Points at Panasonic, told TMCnet. “We are really trying to move forward as a company and show the benefits of using multiple Panasonic products as an overall solution.”
