Onyx Tech Distribution to Offer Authorized Digium Training Courses in Latin America

Onyx, a distributor of core IP products and computer accessories, stated that it is going to offer authorized Digium (News - Alert) training courses to Latin America and for that purpose signed a training partnership agreement with Digium.


Onyx is a Digium authorized training provider and the Digium training courses and certification testing offered by Onyx will include Asterisk (News - Alert) Fast Start, Asterisk Advanced and dCAP Testing, a certification in Asterisk.

Onyx will offer its first training course entirely in Spanish, Asterisk Advanced, in Miami, Fla., September 17-21. The Asterisk Advanced course lasts for five days of workshops, which cover the knowledge and skills that an advanced Asterisk administrator should know to be effective in their work. It is a blend of workshops and practical exercises from where students can learn the theory behind the concepts with practical experience to effectively implement solutions based on Asterisk.

Onyx exclaimed that curriculum will be provided in its training facilities in Miami and additional training is planned at the Onyx training facilities in Valencia, Venezuela; Mexico City, Mexico; and Managua, Nicaragua.

Whether one wants to learn a little more about Asterisk or Switchvox (News - Alert) or become certified, Digium explained that it offers a variety of online and instructor-led training to meet their needs. Asterisk instructor-led courses are available at Digium’s corporate headquarters and through their authorized training partners like Onyx worldwide. Asterisk and Switchvox certification courses are also offered for authorized resellers and users have the option to choose the courses that best suit their needs.
