TMCnet SIP Phones Week in Review

SIP phones serve as a more flexible, expandable and reliable way to deploy users’ SIP-based telephony. The benefits of SIP are plenty, and are especially compelling in today’s business environment – and economy – where every dollar holds its value.


A SIP phone system is a perfect and simple solution for small businesses or even larger SIP endpoint deployments.

This week in SIP phone news, Panasonic (News - Alert) received some high ratings for its esteemed KV-S1046C scanner. It was recently revealed that the product received a “highly recommended” product rating – a highly-coveted honor from Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI). Results were compiled after a two-week testing period by a team of highly-experienced technicians who tested the scanner based on its reliability, optical character recognition, ease of use, productivity, efficiency, value and connectivity concerns.

“The Panasonic KV-S1046C proved to be a strong overall competitor against similarly equipped A4 scanners in this speed range,” explained the Comprehensive BLI Laboratory Evaluation, released in September 2012. “Based on its very good overall performance, BLI highly recommends the KV-S1046C for workgroups and departments looking for a fast and robust digital capture system at a reasonable price.”

In other news, Panasonic also revealed that it would be sponsoring the 10th Annual BroadSoft (News - Alert) Connections Event, which is celebrating one decade of excellence this year. BroadSoft Connections serves as an event exclusively dedicated to helping deliver the most innovative communications services to meet rising customer demands for voice, video and unified communications (UC) over broadband and IP-based networks.

Further, Craig Greenwood, VP of Business Development for Panasonic System Communications Company of North America (PSCNA), will be delivering a presentation during a seated lunch taking place Monday, October 22.

The event itself will be taking place from October 21-24 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Wrapping up is news of Panasonic’s award-winning KX-UT670 Smart SIP Desk Phone (News - Alert), a highly expandable smart desk phone with color, and a large, seven-inch LCD touchscreen.
