A little over one week later, millions of individuals who have unfortunately met Sandy’s wrath are attempting to get back on their feet and resume schedule. Similarly, many government and private organizations are working around the clock to send relief and assistance to those who have been affected most by the storm, and with last night’s nor’easter setting back recovery efforts, it seems the East Coast needs all of the help it can get right now.
In order to help those who have lost their home and other valuables in the disaster, Birch Communications, an IP-based telecom and managed services provider for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and consumers, is doing what it can by waiving service charges.
The company is gladly doing this favor to its customers who were devastated by the severe damage at both business and residential locations.
While speaking about this offer, Vincent M. Oddo, Birch president and CEO expressed his sympathy and well wishes for those who have been affected by the after-math of the hurricane. He explained in a statement, “Our hearts go out to those who have evacuated their businesses and homes in these coastal areas, Birch wants to let our customers know that when they go back to their workplaces or homes, we will be available to assist them.”
He further elaborated on how Birch would stand by their side for assistance throughout the relief efforts, saying, “They can contact us for bill relief and to coordinate alternate arrangements for their telephone service (including rerouting phone numbers for a temporary period of time), broadband service, or any other services during this rebuilding time. Our dedicated staffers are truly at their best in these critical situations when our customers depend on us the most.”
"We want our customers to know that we are truly 'At Your Service,'" said Chris Aversano, Birch chief operating officer. "When they are ready to get back to their businesses or return to their homes, they can call our customer service number at 888-772-4724 and our staff will be ready to assist. We will find a solution that works best for each customer. We appreciate being a trusted service provider and adviser to the many business and residential customers that we serve. Our clients depend on us to support their communications needs 24/7, and we are ready."
So now, businesses that rely on IP-based communications such as SIP phones, VoIP and wireless mobile technology can sit back and let out a sigh of welcomed relief.
