To offer advanced Session Initiation Protocol (News
- Alert) (SIP) communications technology to meet the telephony needs of end users across a wide variety of business environments, it was revealed today that Jive and OnSIP have joined forced with Panasonic (News - Alert) as the first-ever Panasonic SIP Hosted Preferred Partners in its new program. The program will offer Panasonic’s high quality, feature-rich SIP phones with valuable support, a statement released this morning divulges.
This strategic and exciting new combination will bring together these three heavy hitters in the space to offer Panasonic’s award-winning SIP phones, as well as its extensive reseller network with service and support from Jive and OnSIP, the statement continues. In providing affordable, reliable hosted phone solutions to its customers, they will enjoy such things as predictable costs, unprecedented flexibility and support for multi-site and remote workers, among many other things.
“Customers with tight budgets who prefer to pay operational expenses on a monthly basis can take advantage of a hosted PBX (News - Alert) service’s ability to provide lower upfront costs and the flexibility to add and remove users, as needed,” the statement adds. And in investing in Panasonic authorized Business Telephone Systems (BTS) resellers, end users will enjoy consistent on-site support during installation, as well as attentive, ongoing support and expertise moving forward.

Panasonic is especially well known for its small- to medium-sized business (SMB) offerings, where SIP phones prove particularly advantageous. Bill Savino, marketing manager for business communication solutions at Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, sounded off in the release, explaining that “the benefits of hosted SIP phone systems are especially compelling for SMBs where every dollar counts and productivity is a priority.” Panasonic’s SIP phones are the perfect balance between these two critical aspects.
I was also able to speak with Rob Wolpov, president and CFO at OnSIP, who shared the company’s excitement in this new venture. He told me:
We are thrilled to team up with Panasonic and see this as an incredible opportunity to bring advanced PBX solutions to SMBs across North America. Our cutting-edge hosted SIP technology and services coupled with Panasonic’s established SIP phones will not only provide the best offerings in the market, but bring new focus and energy to the telephony industry.
There has been a lot of exciting news coming from all three of these companies lately, such as my.OnSIP, just one of OnSIP’s unique services that provide users with an easy, convenient and cost-effective approach to unified communications (UC). Check it out in more detail here.
