SIP Trunking and Hosted PBX Market Continues to Grow With New Players

The SIP and hosted PBX (News - Alert) market continues to grow with new players eager to get in the game. One such company is Estech Systems Inc (ESI), a designer and manufacturer of high-performance phone systems and cloud services for business and organizations, who revealed today its purchase of the entire Vintalk brand, including its retail assets from Vinculum Communications (News - Alert). This transaction, completed on January 9, includes the infrastructure, established customer base associated with Vintalk's SIP trunking and hosted PBX solutions, and even the transition of Vintalk retail division employees to ESI's (News - Alert) Hosted Services business.

"The purchase of this best-of-breed voice over IP network and full suite of IP and unified  communications services puts ESI in the position to offer businesses Web-based VoIP calling technologies which are tightly integrated with the phone devices connected to them," explained George Platt, president and chief operating officer of ESI, in a statement.

ESI boasts over 25 years of experience providing advanced communications solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The acquisition of Vintalk (News - Alert) is sure to keep ESI providing such solutions for perhaps another 25 years, as the company plans to fully integrate the functionality of hosted VoIP with business telephones using the service. This places the ability to control communications elements in the cloud and on premises.

"In addition to offering a powerful combination of communications systems and phones, our resellers will be able to provide their business customers with flexible and feature-rich SIP trunking and hosted PBX services which allows them to drive additional growth opportunities and take advantage of the increasing interest in hosted communications products," added Doug Boyd, ESI's CEO and co-owner of ESI Hosted Services.

ESI stated it is in the unique position to combine VoIP hardware, hosted PBX solutions, SIP trunking services and additional cloud-based services in innovative ways due to years of insight provided by its customers.
